Abstract: Анотація: Проведено багаторічний епізоотичний моніторинг щодо ендопаразитозів тварин КО «Харківський зоологічний парк». Встановлено ураження різних видів тварин на протозоози та гельмінтози. Аннотация: Проведен многолетний эпизоотический мониторинг эндопаразитозов животных КО «Харьковский зоологический парк». Установлено инвазирование животных простейшими (рода Eimeriа) и многочисленными гельминтами, принадлежащими к четырем классам (Sporozoa, Trematoda, Cestoda, Nematoda). Summary: The purpose of the research was to determine the distribution of the main pathogens of endoparasitic diseases among animals of the KO "Kharkiv Zoological Park" and to analyze measures to combat them. Epizootic monitoring for the establishment of the spread of parasites among the animals of the Kharkiv Zoo was conducted in the conditions of the zoo and laboratory of the parasitology department. During 2008-2017, clinical and parasitological examinations of animals were carried out. The number of individual and collective samples of animals' faeces amounted to about 1000. The material was examined coproscopically. The selected material was investigated by the method of Fulleborna, Kotelnikova-Khrenova and by the method of successive washing. According to the results of the coproscopic research of the material that was selected from different species of animals and researched repeatedly, the extensiveness of infestation was from 2.7 to 33.3%. The intensity of endoparasitic invasions, in the vast majority of cases, was low or intermediate. Endoparasitic pathogens of animals belonged to four classes (Sporozoa, Trematoda, Cestoda, Nematoda). The most common protosooses in the zoo - eimeriosis, was recorded in lagiformes, rodents, ungulates, and many species of birds. The most commonly registered helminthes belonged to class Nematoda and six orders (Oxyurata, Ascaridata, Strongylata, Trichurata, Spirurata, Rhabditata) and parasitized in various species of birds, predators, primates, ungulates, lagiformes and reptiles. In the investigated material, single oocytes and eggs of helminthes (1-3 in the field of view of the microscope) were recorded. In the investigated material from some young animals (camel, kangaroo, boars, rabbits, squirrels, goats) 20-50 oocysts were registered. Up to 20 eggs of helminthes in the field of view of the microscope were estubliched in other species of animals (wolves, zebra, spotted deer, otter, geese, ducks). Species of the genus Toxocara and Toxascaris were found in lions, bears and mongoose, and the genus Baylisascaris were found in bears and skunk. The remaining representatives of the suborder Ascaridata were as causative agents of parascarosis in horses and ascaridiosis in landed and waterfowl birds. Strongilatoses of zoo animals (ungulates, some predatory animals and birds) have been caused by representatives of many families, including Trichostrongylidae, Ancylostomatidae and Amidostomatidae. Trichuratoses of many species of birds, primates and camels were caused by representatives of the families Capillariidae and Trichuridae. Echinuriosis and tetramerosis (spiruratosis) were recorded among waterfowl, which lived in the open water of the zoo. Endoparasitoses among the animals of MO «Kharkiv zoological park» are widely distributed. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct systematic diagnostic research (at least twice a year) and therapeutic and preventive treatments (at least 4 times a year). This will help to reduce the intensity of endoparasitic diseases.
